PRE-CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The conference committee has developed four wonderful pre-conference options fo the 2020 MAFCS Annual Conference. All options take place on Wednesday, February 5th, a day prior to the annual conference.

• Educational Excursion: The excursion will include 3 stops:

  • Mills Ford Motor Company: they will address quality and satisfying customers as well as possible careers within their operation

  • Maddens: Culinary experience for lunch

  • Kix: Like fashion and arts, Kix specializes in the construction of dance costumes.

  • Cost $90

• Serv-Safe (Minimum of 10) Get Certified With ServSafe. Start your training today with the industry's leading certification program! Get Certified! Cost $180

• RentWise (Minimum of 10 people, Max 20) Are you interested in teaching individuals and groups about core knowledge and skills that are required to be a successful renter? If so, then the RentWise Train-the-Trainer Workshop is for you! The University of Minnesota Extension is pleased to announce the RentWise Train-the-Trainer workshops. Register to participate in the training and have access to this curriculum now! Cost $125

• Evening Event: Mixology, 7:00 – 9:00pm S’more’s Campfire Grandview Conference Center Cost of $25.00/person

LODGING INFORMATION

Room Rate for Cottage Lodging

Each cottage has a kitchen, large dining and seating area with 3+ bedrooms in it.  Each bedroom has 2 queen beds with a bathroom that includes a tub and shower.  If you have a larger group that wants to be together they have larger cottages available.  Cottages have parking for individual cars, are within walking distance of conference center and also have on-demand shuttle service. Ideal for groups of friends that want to do some socializing and catch up.

Single occupancy/room             $108.45 Double occupancy/room             $54.23

Room rate for Hotel Lodging

Hotel rooms have 2 queen bed or one king size bed.  Hotel rooms are across the road from conference center.

$109.00 + $8.72 service chg. @ 8% + $8.04 state/local tax

Single occupancy room              $125.76 Double occupancy/room             $62.88

"Registration must be done online. You will not get a conference rate if you call in. When registering, you must indicate your choice of single or double occupancy and indicate if you want a hotel room or a cottage room.  Indicate the name (s) of the person (s) you wish to share with or Grandview will pair you up with someone from the MAFCS group."
