MAFCS Fundraising Gala 2025

Join the Minnesota Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (MAFCS) for our Fundraising Gala on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Medina Entertainment Center. This special afternoon will bring together members, community partners, and supporters to celebrate the impact of Family and Consumer Sciences across Minnesota.The event will feature:

  • Silent Auction – Bid on a variety of items and experiences, with proceeds supporting scholarships, outreach, and professional development.

  • Wine & Dessert Wall – Purchase a chance to take home a surprise bottle of wine or delicious dessert.

  • Vendor Tables – Explore local businesses and community organizations.

  • Recognition Ceremony – Honoring MAFCS members with 30+ years of membership and service.

  • Board Updates – Hear from our leadership about the exciting future of MAFCS.

  • Appetizers & Cash Bar – Enjoy light bites and refreshments as you mingle.

This event is also an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, enjoy a fun and engaging afternoon, and give back to the mission of MAFCS.

Cost: $20 per person, or $30 if you bring a guest.

Day 1- Sunday, March 12: ServSafe Training and Evening Hands On Social Mixer

Day 2- Monday, March 13: Day offerings include: Choice of Educational Excursion or Hands On Workshops with Train the Trainer Minnesota Extension RentWise instruction and Meat Cutting Demonstration by Chef Instructor, Ryan Cox. Monday Evening: MAFCS Awards Banquet complete with speaker, awards and dessert reception.

Day 3- Tuesday, March 14: Full Day Conference offers keynote speakers Dr. Rich Melheim and Lorna Saboe-Wounded Head and breakout session that would include topics on interior design, grant opportunities, mental health workshop, New Teacher Workshop, Curriculum Exchange and more.

MAFCS Annual Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 7:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Lake Elmo.

The MAFCS Silent Auction is a great opportunity to support the work of MAFCS. Please consider bringing an item to put in the Silent Auction. All proceeds are donated to MAFCS.
